Todas las capitales del mundo poseen un encanto indiscutible porque son como los seres humanos, son atrayentes, desesperantes, convulsivas, alegres, dinámicas, despiertas, gigantes, tienen dentro de sí algunos rasgos de dolor, violencia y a veces vulnerables ante los acontecimientos; pero a pesar de todo esto, las grandes metrópolis son fundamentalmente gestantes, creadoras. Quizás por un motivo entrañable, mi escultura Metrópoli alude justamente a ese encanto de poder de gestación de las grandes capitales. El volumen central (el más grande) es la abstracción de un rostro encajado en un prisma cónico invertido; dentro de este volumen hay un color rojo intenso que envuelve el espacio interno acompañado de texturas hechas directamente sobre las superficies del aluminio. Este volumen se suspende de la base cuadrada por medio de tres espigas delicadamente curvadas, penetrando el prisma mayor y finalmente atravesando otro prisma cónico regular (volumen pequeño) que levita sobre el prisma mayor el cual representa la gestación mágica de las metrópolis. Mi concepto en la escultura es la levedad y la luz en el volumen. El espacio del volumen se hace circundante y penetrante con la levedad, buscando interactuar a través de la geometría los volúmenes abiertos y los volúmenes cerrados, permitiendo que los espacios de ambos tengan aperturas a través de las ventanas que suelo colocar sobre la superficie de mis esculturas. Con la luz en cambio busco agregar más fuerza a la levedad, ya que la hace más ligera al incorporar brillos que aplico con esmeril sobre la superficie del aluminio.

All the capitals of the world possess an undeniable charm because they are like human beings, are appealing, exasperating, convulsive, joyful, dynamic, awake, giant, have within them some features of pain, violence, and sometimes vulnerable before the events; But despite all this, large cities are primarily pregnant, creative. Perhaps because of a beloved, my sculpture Metropolis just alludes to that charm of power of gestation of the great capitals. The central volume (the largest) is the abstraction of a face embedded in an inverted conical Prism; within this volume, there is a deep red color that surrounds the internal space accompanied by textures made directly on the aluminium surfaces. This volume is suspended from the square through three pins delicately curved, penetrating greater Prism and base finally crossing another conical Prism regular (small volume) that levitates over the higher Prism which represents the magical gestation of the metropolis. Perhaps because of a beloved, my sculpture metropolis just alludes to that charm of gestation of the great capitals.Volume space is surrounding and penetrating the lightness, looking to interact through the geometry open volumes and closed volumes, allowing both namespaces have openings through the windows that I place on the surface of my sculptures. With light instead I seek to add more strength to lightness, since it makes it lighter by adding glitters that I apply with Emery on the surface of the aluminum.
