CURRICULUM VITAE

William R. Marquina B.

I was born in Merida, January 5, 1967, lives and works in the municipality of Campo Elias Merida State, Venezuela. In 2000 creates the "Monument to the Craftsman", in 2005 the Monument "Bolívar de Los Andes". He studied visual arts (2001) at the University of Los Andes and philosophy (2008) and between 2010-2013 was a professor of drawing and color at the Faculty of Arts. In 2003 he captured the realistic force artist painting Baudilio Rodriguez and decides to experiment with realism and other styles, but since 2007 without leaving aside the realism, investigate in abstract painting where aluminum has been the most experienced brackets because it lets you create drawings with light itself through wear on the metal (drawing by reflection light), combined with industrial paints and other materials such as plush, animal hair, tackle with paints, resins, etc. In 2016 creates the-DaDa Trastos with research proposals in the local urban art group. Currently, he performs a series of sculptures in aluminum, where the concept is the abstraction of lightness and light volume. The diversity of themes and visual expressions, combined realism and abstraction will endorse his career as an experimental artist.
