Esculturas de aluminio

 

En esta página presento lo más reciente de mi producción en esculturas de aluminio después de haber realizado mi segunda exposición individual en 2007 llamada “Esencias” y en la que había iniciado esta técnica escultórica, no fue sino hasta este año 2016 cuando realizo una nueva edición. La características principales de estas obras son sus formas geométricas abstractas de volúmenes abiertos (vacíos) y cerrados; aluden temas de lo incognoscible, de lo extraño, de lo fantástico y a veces surrealista; otras características físicas es que son ligeras y de muy poco peso por el material usado, y por supuesto la luz, este carácter físico es imperdible para mí pues el material me invita a que libere esa cualidad del metal, de allí que mi concepto en la escultura es la levedad y la luz en el volumen, donde el espacio del volumen se hace circundante y penetrante con, buscando interactuar a través de la geometría los volúmenes abiertos y cerrados, permitiendo así que los espacios de ambos tengan aperturas a través de las ventanas que suelo colocar sobre la superficie. Con la luz en cambio busco agregar más fuerza a la levedad ya que la hace más ligera al incorporar los brillos que aplico con el esmeril sobre la superficie del aluminio. Estas esculturas están elaboradas con láminas y/o piezas de aluminio y la técnica es el ensamblando, recortando, texturizando y modelando con martillo y gubias; las formas son variadas pero predominan las formas geométricas, entre estas me gustan las formas cónicas alteradas, los prismas cónicos y cubos, donde el volumen cerrado permite la entrada de la luz a su interior a través de las ventanas o cortes horadados en las caras. Suelo emplear variadas texturas sobre el metal pues el tema me obliga a referirlas para sustanciar el tema, estas agregan mensajes de sensualismo y sentimientos humanos. El color lo empleo igualmente como sustentador del tema y desde una racionalidad entre lo austero y lo superficial contrastando con los efectos del brillo del aluminio.

 

On this page I present the latest of my production in sculptures of aluminium after completing my second solo exhibition in 2007 called "Essences" and which had initiated this sculptural technique, it was not until the year 2016 when I make a new edition. The main features of these works are their abstract geometric forms (empty) open volumes and closed; allude to themes of the unknowable, the strange, the fantastic and sometimes surreal; other physical characteristics is that they are light and very little weight by the material used, and of course the light, this physical character is a must for me because the material invites me to release that quality of metal, there that my concept in sculpture is the lightness and light in volume, where the space of the volume is surrounding and penetrating, looking to interact through the geometry open and closed volumes, thus allowing both namespaces have openings through the windows that I place on the surface. With light instead I seek to add more strength to lightness since it makes it lighter by adding glitters that I apply with Emery on the surface of the aluminum. These sculptures are made with sheets or pieces of aluminum and the technique is the assembling, cutting, texturing and modeling with hammer and gouge; forms are varied but dominated by the geometric shapes, these I like altered tapers, conical prisms and cubes, where the closed volume allows light entering inside through windows or cuts drilled in the sides. I tend to use different textures on the metal because the issue forces me to refer them to substantiate the topic, these add messages of sensualism and human feelings. Color him employment as a Sustainer of the topic and from a rationality between the austere and the superficial contrasting with the effects of the brightness of the aluminum.
